I have been trying to use Sigma Visual Builder now for about 30 days and I think it is a very good attempt to make AJAX construction easier.  I would really like to see it further developed and enhanced. I am impressed with both the breadth and depth of the implementation. As you probably know through my forum questions, I am a bit frustrated both by the lack of documentation and examples and also by what seem to be some bugs in the implementation.  I have one very important suggestion:

I think setting up a Wiki for VisualJS documentation would be a possible way for your users to contribute to solving the documentation and example issues.  As we try things and become familiar (and hopefully successful) at making things work we could update the Wiki with our experiences and successes and over time this would create a resource for everyone that was trying to use Visual JS.  Your team could monitor/moderate the Wiki to make sure that as information is added it is correct, and that poor approaches to particular implementation were removed, or better yet replaced with proper methods and information.  Structuring such a Wiki along the lines of the Visual JS UI and the structure of the Linb components, properties, events, methods etc. Would provide information that would be easier to access than searching the forum (expecially since the forum topics are titled by users).

Also I have a question:  What are your plans regarding continuing with active development of Visual JS?  Will there be future releases?   If not, is this because of resource constraints (people, money etc.)  ?  Would you consider creating an open development community to "crowdsource" further development?

Debugging in this framework, or any one of them, is not too difficult if you turn on your browser's built-in script debugger. These are often turned off/disabled by default. Web developer tools like Firebug are very helpful, too. Happy coding! Smiley

Connecting to a mysql database

I like this framework very much but my programming skills are more at the hobby level.

I hope to accomplish some of the basics adding deleting viewing records from a mysql database.

I tried Tutorial #4 but no luck. I think the problem is in my hello.php (need to learn how to use firebug).

I'm going to post a request a request for help on the forum, I need to think about how I'm going to pose the request, don't want to be told to "RTFM". I've done that I just don't get it yet.
