Button "disabled" appearance

Hi,
If I call setDisabled(true); on a "status" style button that has no caption, its appearance does not change (because the disabled look is to gray the caption and there is no caption).
What do you recommend to obtain a "disabled" look for a button having no caption?
Thanks,
Bruce

How about set a 'disabled' image?
