javascript error in header controls example

I think I found a small bug in the header controls example:

In the second grid, there is a text field in the header for 2005.

User will input data here, and often they press the return key after that. But for this, I get an error with the IE7 like

"parentNode is null or no object"

I don't see the error, but the filtering controls do not work for me either.
