In the VisualJS GUI Builder, if I create a syntax error in Code View and attempt to switch to Design View, it duly refuses and points out that there is a syntax error.

Please add to that message the offending line number.

It can be quite hard to find otherwise, particularly in a large file. I've used javascriptlint.com as a work-around, and incorporating a tool like this into VisualJS would be a nice touch.

Thanks,
Bruce

It's a runtime error, not a syntax error. I suggest you use the Builder in firefox.

I see. I verified that in Firefox, it gives line numbers, but in Chrome it does not. Is there anything you can do about that?

At present, we are tied to Chrome for WebSocket support, and it would be slightly less convenient to develop in two different browsers. (Yes, my customers MUST use Chrome). Certainly getting the line number from Firefox is better than scanning through the javascriptlint.com output.

Thanks,
Bruce
