So, given that these hyperactive schedules and the dietary shortcuts they sponsor are part of normal life today, what is to be done? While it is entirely reasonable to be skeptical of any product which claims to offer a panacea for these ills and trends, wholesale repudiation of nutritional supplements is not reasonable. If a product appeared which promised only to provide one balanced and carefully calibrated daily meal, to be incorporated into a general healthy eating plan, and if that meal replacement contained enhanced protein levels, low sugar, essential minerals and vitamins, and dietary fiber, many would be intrigued.
